DUST Search - Why this game turned away my gamer friends

The undeniable truth is that players who joined after beta have more blood in the game. The hazing makes us indoctrinated to DUST in a way Closed beta vets do not understand.

If many of the old vets had to start now, they would wash out.

If you were here from the beginning, you started on the same level as everyone else. Only by starting with an alt can someone like that begin to understand. And even then it's not the same because you have in game knowledge.

I was not the first, I was one of the first ones yes, but no I did not get a good entrance into Dust! I quitted for a few weeks because Dust was far too small, only when I came back did I regret my leave. I was a piece of meat that was thrown into the wolf's nest, I had to re learn the controls, then I had to compete with the advanced and protos in militia, then I had to continue fighting my way to the best possible condition I could be in while playing this game. When academy was added I had no idea until my first 'alt' was made in the open beta... the original Sir Ravenwing... I competed and came out on top each time, I was like trying to fight blind, shieldless logis who had a slingshot for a weapon.
